After last year’s very successful event, the Magic Tenner will be returning to Richmond from May 11th – 26th.
In a campaign organised by Totally Locally, businesses across Richmond will once again be collaborating to offer lots of fantastic £10 deals to encourage people to use independent shops and to give a boost to the local economy.
The powerful message behind the initiative is that for every £10 spent in an independent business, up to £50 goes back into the local economy. This is because most independent businesses work in partnership with many other local businesses, whether that be makers, growers, suppliers, accountants, electricians, window cleaners and so on. Buying online, or at the big national chains and supermarkets has a much smaller impact, as far less money stays in the local economy.
Businesses signed up for the Magic Tenner so far include: Angus Morton Butchers, Art and Rhyme, Arthur Caygill Cycles, BBinFinkle, Berber Leather, Gone Barking, Goosewing Studios, Granny’s Kitchen, Kiss the Moon, Larches of Richmond, Nourished, Pink Sundays, Richmond Swimming Pool, Sip Coffee, Strolling4Shoes, Team Talk UK, The Nutrition Hut Café and Tunstall Meat Company.
All independent businesses in Richmond and the surrounding areas are invited to join in with the Magic Tenner. To register your interest, contact Maggie at info@originalrichmond.co.uk by April 24th.
