Supporting Tourism

Through our sub-group, Welcome to Richmond, ORBTA promotes tourism in Richmond and the surrounding area. The group organises Love being Local, the Town Ticket, Richmond Town map and manages Richmond’s visitor website.

Richmond Walking and Book Festival

ORBTA and local businesses support the Richmond Walking and Book Festival, which is held annually in late September, early October. The Festival combines daytime walks led by knowledgeable guides with evening talks from well-known and emerging authors. This long-running event attracts many visitors to the area to listen and walk, just listen or just walk!
