We are expanding our team at the Richmond factory and are seeking individuals eager to learn and grow as bootmakers. Working alongside experienced professionals, you’ll contribute to the production of specialist boots for Military, Police, Motorcycle, and Walking. The role involves hands-on experience in various stages of the bootmaking process, including lasting, preparation, sewing, finishing, and dispatch.

We’re looking for someone with a positive attitude, a willingness to learn new skills, and excellent face-to-face and written communication abilities. Good organisational skills and the ability to multitask are crucial. While prior experience is not necessary, any background in a workshop or factory environment could be advantageous. The role requires working with hands, collaborating within a team, and the flexibility to work independently. Training will be provided on the job, ensuring you acquire the skills needed to excel in bootmaking.

Rate of Pay: above the living wage.

To apply, please send your CV and a covering letter via email or post to Mr J M Sheehan at joe@altberg.co.uk or Altberg, Unit 2b, Racecourse Rd, Gallowfields Ind Est, Richmond, N. Yorks, DL10 4TG.

We will be conducting interviews over the next few weeks with the aim of taking someone on in March.

We are looking for someone to join our team!

We need someone who is happy to ‘muck in’ and help where needed - be it front of house or in the kitchen area. You will have to be a flexible, personable team player.

It’s important our customers feel welcome and cared for, but you may have to switch straight to working in our busy kitchen environment too.

We would prefer someone with hospitality experience and barista skills, however a willingness to learn quickly is a winner.

The position is 16 hours part-time to start with but there will be more hours, certainly over the summer period. Sundays will be included as a work day. This is not a position for someone in full time education.

Anyone interested MUST drop their CV in person to Wendy, Mick or James. Please DO NOT send your CV by email or dm, as we would like to meet you.
